The 1895 to 1910 Jamison Hydro-Electric Power Plant is a 6' Pelton Water Wheel driven by the floe of Jamison Creek in the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. It was saved in 1950 and still exists in the Plumas Eureka State Park, in Johnsville, California. The water wheel drives an 550 kW 3 phase AC Allis Chalmers dynamo and fed electricity to the Mohawk Gold Mining Company 40 stamp mill. It would also work as an electric supply for any mining, small industrial, mill, or small town. Fascinating, very well detailed kit with clean castings.
Craftsman level assembly, extensive instructions and drawings. Roof can be made removable to show interior. Been sitting on the shelf for years-it deserves assembly and display. A reasonably rare kit that would make a most unusual addition to the layout.
